then restart your server.that helps for me most time.
far - ~20-140 km(from server to client)
speedtest - which server to choose
sorry but i cant believe that.
look for UPLOAD
you can ignoren the shit like "wlan speed 5mbit" that windows shows.
if i believe that,my wlan internet has 11mbits.
in real i have download max about 200 kbs.
the upload speed (and thats important for every kind of server) is something about 30kbits.
go to options on cs2d -> net -> look on download files and choose all

what has this to do with a high ping?
if i choose in my cs2d client download all from others servers my ping is still the same when im playing on the server....
