I don't have much to contribute here, but just a quick general observation on the decorum of the discussion so far. Depending on what your goal is, it's generally better to have a more focused discussion than several parallel subtopics from nitpicking specific points you disagree with. The former helps to create a more coherent structure in the discussion and also helps to keep the debate more focused.
For example, I think you're missing the larger point of what @
ohaz: and others are trying to convey about moderation, creative outlets, and individual preferences. It's good to be able to pick apart the individual trees, but don't lose sight of the surrounding forest.
