correctly. you are not allowed to use more than 256 tiles in a tileset. AW! Why ...
Why can't we make more than 256 tiles? Because more tiles, downloading will lag i think I don't think you'll need 256 tiles for one map.. I need it... I make town map every years... So it will be better if I could make like 300x300 tiles or bigger for more feature in my map... I think you mean the size of map tp 300x300?
Tiles are the things you do on the map like, boxes or floor and this can be only 256 DC Admin Offline
you are probably doing something wrong if you really need more than 256 different tiles.
use env_image and env_sprite instead. don't try to put everythng into your tileset.
the reason is that you normally don't need more tiles than 256 and that I can save the map in a better and smaller format this way (1 byte per tile) Wait a sec... I'm being confused... Did u mean ...
- 256 is the tileset and not Map Size (256x256) ???
If yes then I can make Map Size bigger than 256x256???
SRY I JUST CONFUSED ofc u can make bigger map then 256x256 lol
256 means that u can have maximal 256 tiles in a tileset, which is more then enough you can't have more then 265 different tiles. But the mapsize can of course be bigger (300x300) oh man.. back in days I worked on an 500x500 map, and I needed more than 256 tiles for it
I lost that map..
I hate Windows. You can make 1000x1000 tiles map... Now we can change direction of tile so more than 256 tiles is unneeded. ok Thx for the answer.................
