Hi there,
I have recently organised a small CS2D LAN party ( ~20 ppl ) and I was wondering if there was a way to restart the server without shutting it down ( I have been running this for a couple weeks and I have had quite a few uni pals over to play, but this week I'm really amping it up and asked some guys to put up a few posters around campus ). The problem resides with the fact that I need to restart my server sometimes because I need to update Lua scripts, change the server name or just change the server in a way I cannot do ( in my knowledge ) in RCon and I don't know any other way apart from terminating the proccess and running it again ( which is a bit tedious/annoying to be doing ).
If there is a way to do this I would be most grateful to know.

Thanks in advance,
DannyDeth

You can download it off of the LAN server. Pretty simple, heh? I have packages for 10 distros of Linux and a pre-put-together version of the .zip file ( I included the dedi server just becasue I felt like it ). I also have it for Windows users, but there aren't that many of 'em so I don't need to worry too much. Everything is in /home/cs2ds/ with the /home/cs2ds/_cs2ds/ directory unaccessable becasue that is where I put the actual server

Anyone know how to do this? I don't feel like shell scripting at all
