I've been asking people about this, but now I'd like to hear your opinions. Almost 1 year ago, I stopped having Windows as an operating system. Since Windows Vista and 7 appeared, I found 'em not so fancy and somehow the new system was getting in my way - also, Windows XP gets unsupported as time passes. Therefore, I switched to Ubuntu 12.04, which I think it meets all my demands and it also looks better than any Windows.
Right now, I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 on both desktop and notebook as my only operating system. Whenever, I'm in need of something Windows-specific, I power on my VM.
And here comes the question. I've started working on applications, which compile on all platforms. I compile it on Ubuntu, but will it compile fine on a virtual machine? Also, if you can, tell me if there's any difference in compilation between a dedicated machine and a virtual one.
Thank you,
Mapmaker.
