I could create a thread if you want seeing as I just made an account there and have nothing better to do at the moment. - But then again I do not think some people would want me to as being me.
Edit: Woops, just noticed benelux. Not very useful as it is only for the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium.
Oooops. We should suggest Carnage Contest then instead. It has replays
Adding replays to CS2D as well is planned anyway. It's a bit more complicated though.
It will be good if one BIG YouTuber plays cs2d.
There are so many BIG YouTubers that are open for new games. DashiGames PewDiePie SmoshGames Tobuscus
And many more?
@ CoSmo: I'm trying my best. CS2D is my most successful game and I put (and I'm still putting) a lot of work and effort into it and everything which is related to it.
that's good to know
there are still quite a few things that can be done to improve the game for the competitive cs2d community
cs2d was added to the polish esl once. there was a 32 K/O tournament, afterwards a ladder which got inactive after 1/2 months. (2008?)
Then cs2d was added again to the polish esl, and got inactive again. (around 2010?)
There have been several (more or less successful) attempts to add cs2d to the german and also international esl section.
Though all of them have failed.
Many had much more support than this attempt so far.
The problem has always been:
people didn't join the ladders and didn't play the matches.
And think about it. Will the average cs2d player register on esl to play matches?, i don't think so!, history has shown the esl is not right for cs2d
(and this was at times with much bigger activity, now 500+ players playing on european prime times. back then 1200+...)
the problem with the competitive cs2d scene is much more fundamental.
look at the server list... what do you see?, zombie-, construction-, superhero- etc servers filled with players.
competitive cs2d servers?, only active with de_dust 8on8 no fog, de_dust2 8on8 no fog.
biggest camping fest ever.
How is a new player supposed to have fun there?
no wonder they only play the fun mods and no wonder the competitive scene is going down. there are no new players coming up anymore and the old players are leaving...
(the sad truth is that there have been several attempts of hosting 5on5 fog servers on different competitive maps. these have stayed empty until they were shut down.)
Hello, im magik I started play in summer 2004y, I was one of many people who tried to enter the game for the league ESL.
We managed to do this, but unfortunately people do not want to play, because we did not have a good Anty-Cheat.
and until DC not start seriously working on it, we must forgot about league now.
(DC : please, abandon other projects. You have people who really love this game, I think it's the right time to beat all cheaters.)
For people who dont believe me that Polish players tried to talk with ESL (about cs2d) Link is in my profile showing 1on1 and 5on5 results exactly from CS2D :
@ Magik: Stop requesting stuff which can't be done. It's technically impossible to stop cheaters completely. I already wasted many hours with attempts to make CS2D more secure but it's just a matter of time to shut down or to trick all protections. Also I surely won't abandon my other projects. Requesting me to do so is egoistic because my other games also have people who love them.

and this eliminates the participation of our lovely game in ESL.
